Bush Blitz Tactical Taxonomy Contracts


APPLICATIONS FOR 2010-11 ARE NOW CLOSED.

Bush Blitz Tactical Taxonomy contracts provide one off payments of $5,000, specifically targeted to assist in the publication of new species and the resolution of problematic groups collected from Bush Blitz surveys. Applicants for funding under a Tactical Taxonomy contract must have participated in a Bush Blitz survey prior to the application closing date.

Bush Blitz Tactical Taxonomy contracts are for one year and are advertised in the second half of the financial year.

To apply for funding under a Tactical Taxonomy contract, please contact the ABRS Grants Officer for an expression of interest form.

In 2009/10, eleven applicants were successful in obtaining Bush Blitz Tactical Taxonomy contract funding.


Reporting

The Bush Blitz Tactical Taxonomy contract will set out the reporting requirements and timeframes associated with the study for which funding has been provided.

All funding recipients must report on the progress of their study to the Australian Biological Resource Study (ABRS) in accordance with these contract requirements. Failure to meet these requirements may result in cancellation of the contract and the return of funding.
